A message on Tumblr from a woman who has anorexia is still changing minds and hearts two years later.

Jessi Davin, a 26-year-old woman from Florida, wrote a post about the controversial "Anna Rexia" costume. She talked about the real effects of the disease on her body and mind.

To her, this costume isn't funny at all.

Davin's post gets re-shared thousands of times each Halloween when the "Anna Rexia" costume becomes popular again.

"I think costumes like ['Anna Rexia'] really show how much we as a society have to learn about mental illness and the way it affects the people around us," Davin told BuzzFeed News.

"People need to know that if you suffer from an eating disorder β€” you aren't a joke."

Love him or hate him, there's no arguing that Bill Maher can certainly get a rise out of people, particularly when it comes to poking holes in political ideology. Last night, he ended Real Time with the keen observation that Republicans are basically waging a war against common sense, but not before taking some pretty good jabs at folks who probably deserve them.
