When Fidencio Sanchez pushed his ice cream cart to work again on Monday, he showed the world his resiliency in light of several recent tragedies in his life.

Thanks to a stranger setting him up a GoFundMe page to help the 89-year-old to retire and pay for his family's healthcare costs, he is now over $283,000 richer and can finally empty out the ice cream cart for the last time.

Here he is on a Facebook Live session, getting some of the fame he deserves:

These tasty "donut cones" are actually based on a traditional Slovak pastry called the Trdelník. The dough is shaped into a tall, hollow cylinder and then grilled to perfection. Sometimes they're called 'Chimney cakes' and they are usually topped with sugar and walnuts.

Once people started adding soft serve ice cream they became absolutely famous. Hopefully it'll only be a matter of time before this latest fatty food craze is available everywhere.

This giant desert is so stunning it'll stop your heart. Sure, it's been done before in a smaller size but now it's much, much larger. This ball of fried ice cream is made of vanilla and Nutella ice cream, covered in crushed Maltesers and smothered in hot, salted caramel sauce.

According to Mashable when creator Roy El Hachem first experimented with the "Fried Maltella" the ice cream took two full days to set before it could be fried.

It looks like Ben & Jerry's is going to release another politically-themed ice cream. In the past they've rolled out flavors like 'PrObama' and 'Yes Pecan!'

Well, this go round they're aiming to release 'Bernie's Yearning,' which would feature a "big disk of chocolate on top, covering the entire top and below it is just plain mint ice cream. The disc of chocolate represents 90 percent of the wealth that's gone to the top 10 percent over the last 10 years."

Ben Cohen went on to suggest that "You take your spoon and you whack that big chocolate disc into little pieces and mix it around," meant to symbolize a more equally distributed U.S. economy, one where everyone gets their share.

Chalk this one up there with the cronuts, waffle tacos, KFC Double Downs and all of the other Franken-foods that are all the rage these days.

Baskin Robbins has announced that its flavor of the month will be "First Class Camouflage" in honor of Veterans Day to pay tribute to the troops.

It might look a little strange, but it sounds pretty amazing - a combination of chocolate, salty caramel, and cake-flavored ice cream.

The company also says it will donate 10 cents from each ice cream scoop sold in its U.S. locations to the United Service Organizations (USO).
