The official Walking Dead Twitter account started by creating The Walking Dead versions of Oscar nominated films. Then other people caught on and it spiraled out of control like a mysterious pathogen that causes people to become reanimated corpses when they die.

The Tumblr blog Don't Call Me Oscar is run by photographer Maggie Storino. These adorable recreations of the Best Picture nominees are not just cute, they can tell the future. Storino told Mashable, "A little known fact about 'Don't Call Me Oscar' is that it's a good predictor of the Oscar winner; since we've been on Tumblr, the photo with the most notes has won Best Picture 3 out of 4 years."

The long awaited Deadpool has finally been released and who better to review it than the internet's favorite grandmother, Betty White. Sure, it's already gotten a 'certified fresh' rating from Rotten Tomatoes but what does she think of it?

via @deadpoolmovie

Betty White loves it, she gave it four Golden Girls... FOUR! And to parents petitioning for a PG-13 version of Deadpool well, don't bother, she says it's fun for the whole family. And we're not taking that out of context at all...

The reboot of Ghostbusters featuring all women is underway with Chris Hemsworth providing a masculine touch around the office as their secretary, There have been sneaks and peeks and plenty of pictures of the main cast dressed up in Ghostbuster uniforms but this is the first official image of Hemsworth as secretary. We also get to see the lady characters in their normal clothes outside of the Ghostbusters uniform.

The 'Internet of Things' is a phrase people keep bringing up that references the real life trend toward a world where all your things have become working props in a science fiction movie. Kind of like this:

Let's be honest, so far this neat idea has mostly translated into putting a touchscreen on everything. That's why Max Braun got crafty and made his own futuristic mirror using Google's Android system. So far it automatically shows the weather, the time and the day's headlines but he hopes to include more.  He's also made a diagram showing what makes the mirror tick.

Elizabeth Banks just made a promise to bring Rita Repulsa, the most memorable Power Rangers villain, back from the dead.

Mystery surrounds the nature of the new Power Rangers reboot but it probably won't be very similar to the well recieved "gritty" NSFW short unauthorized reboot everyone was talking about last year.

Star Wars Sound Editor Reveals The Details Behind Those "Additional Voices"

Matthew Wood, supervising sound editor for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just written a long, detailed list of the voices in the background of the latest Star Wars movie. He writes:

Part of Skywalker Sound’s and John Williams’ job is to complement the visuals ofStar Wars and enhance the storytelling with a rich audio soundtrack. Just as our sound designers have to create sound effects for new weapons, vehicles, and ambiences, the dialogue department will turn to voice actors to populate these new worlds. And so it was with The Force Awakens.

You may have seen a section in the credits of The Force Awakens titled “Additional Voices,” with some familiar names listed. But who or what did all those familiar names play? I’m happy to finally reveal everyone below, running through the film chronologically.

It seems like a thankless job that is pretty important to making the world of the movie seem real. Notable examples of voice contributions include:

“BLAH!” — Matthew Wood and David Acord

“Blast ‘em!” — Matthew Wood

Stormtrooper (fights Finn with riot baton): “Traitor!” (fight efforts) — David Acord

“Hey!” — David Collins

“Ma’am.” — Meredith Salenger

“Hey!” — Nigel Godrich

Very distorted commands — Devon Libran and Sam Witwer

And of course, the Kevin Smith cameo you've probably heard about by now:

Stormtrooper (reacts to incoming Resistance fighters): “We have incoming at 28.6! Move!” — Kevin Smith
