No? What about Cat-lo Ren?

Seriously, Kylo Ren might need to be recast, look how good this cat looks as a sith lord.

Anyone else out there want to be Charlie Goldberg of Brick Vault when they grow up? The force is definitely strong with this one.

This might be the best Star Wars related hit to pop up on the internet subsequent to the movie's recent debut. Beautiful things happened when the parody accounts for 'Emo Kylo Ren' and 'Very Lonely Luke' collided to exchange blows.

The great George Lucas does not care about your needs, simple fan; he wants only to deliver the plot.

When discussing being approached about Star Wars VII, Lucas revealed that the team behind the film saw his stories, but scrapped them in favor of something that might actually please movie-goers:

They looked at the stories and they said 'we want to make something for the fans,' so I said 'all I wanted to do was tell a story-- what happened, you know, it started here and went there. It's all about generations and issues of fathers and sons and grandfathers; it's a family soap opera.'

If Lucas' focus on plot getting from a to b and generational soap opera issues doesn't clue you in to why there was a serious lack of meaningful development in the prequels, I don't know what will. Thank you for the Star Wars universe, George, but maybe your departure was for the best.

P.S. If you haven't yet heard the way Lucas describes his "breakup" with the series, this is worth a watch. As much as we all give him grief for the prequels, letting go seems like a really painful process, and he deserves a lot of credit for being so graceful about it.

Anakin Skywalker was initially set to make an appearance as a ghost in The Force Awakens, but he didn't make the final cut. Maybe it's because he looked so, so creepy.

Why the two-face treatment? According to artist Iain McCaig, it's because Anakin's got both good and evil natures inside him:

When you light a candle, you also cast a shadow. That inspired me to propose, for the first time, that Anakin’s ghost could come back … If we see Anakin Skywalker, because he does flow back and forth between Darth Vader and Anakin, let’s see him as a character with a dark and light side. The reason Luke is this whole new entity is because he was the first to acknowledge his own dark side — that it was not separate from him.

It's unclear what part of the film Anakin could have appeared in, but it's likely he'd either have appeared to Kylo Ren, or alongside other series veterans in Rey's Force vision.

Jean Francois showed off these cleats, which depict Darth Vader and Kylo Ren to the eager eyes of the internet today. Francois plans on hitting the gridiron tonight against the Eagles, sporting these flashy new cleats. Let's just say the force is strong with this one. Lightsabers not yet NFL approved though.
