This amazing series of pictures comes from photographer Dulce Pinzon, who explained the concept of her project:

"The Real Story of the superheroes" reintroduce[s] the Mexican immigrant in New York in a satirical documentary style featuring ordinary men and women in their work environment donning superhero garb, thus raising questions of both our definition of heroism and our ignorance of and indifference to the workforce that fuels our ever-consuming economy.

How do Marvel and DC films stack op over the years? Considering that Marvel's first entry was Howard The Duck, they're doing a lot better over time.

Karl Kesel, a writer and inker for DC Comics, is selling a trove of old comics that he's been collecting and preserving since childhood.

What for? The Kesels recently adopted a baby with heroin-addicted birth parents, and need money to pay for the child's rehabilitation costs.

Karl has found some solace in the sale:

I don't necessarily feel like I'm putting away childish things. I may be putting away my childish things. But I'm embracing Isaac's.
I think I'm getting another childhood here.

The last time the Caped Crusader fought Marvel at the box office, it was for Tony Stark's first solo outing. A lot has changed since then, and Spider-Man isn't pulling any punches. Can't they just be friends?

DC fans have been patient for far too long to get some good movies made. YouTuber Kashchei2003 decided to do something about it, creating a Superman: Doomsday fan film made with spliced movies and extensive After Effects editing. The trailer for the work-in-progress is a real marvel of ingenuity. Hopefully DC takes notice.

Are DC and Warner Bros. intentionally trolling Alan Moore at this point? Launching a prequel to Watchmen despite Moore's strong disapproval is one thing, but now they're licensing Watchmen's iconic vigilante/social critic, Rorshach, for use on a toaster.

The toaster sports a Watchmen logo and a group shot of the main characters, and it will brown your toast to look like Rorshach's famous mask (albeit without the randomly shifting patterns).

It would be funny if weren't so tragic.
