According to an article at Mental_Floss, the ancient ritual of blowing into the cartridge was actually causing damage to the pin connectors of your precious classic games.
Expert after expert weighed in, so it is with a heavy heart that TDW Geek must also issue the same caution: Do not blow on your cartridges to make them work. Please. You're hurting them.
Etsy seller Bohemian Workbench has created a massive coffee table that looks like an original NES controller -- and plays like one, too.

YouTuber Omega52 upgraded Battlefield 3's soundtrack by replacing it with 8-bit audio from NES games. The sound effects are from Contra and Top Gun, and the background music is from Journey to Silius and Batman.
Unfortunately, this 8-bit soundtrack isn't available as an actual mod -- BF3 didn't ship with mod tools, and EA isn't likely to release any, despite strong fan support.
Hey, EA, bleep-bloop and take my money!
