All this took was a sharpie. No stencils, no decals, just a dedicated love for Portal (and Mantis-Men, apparently).

Synthetic PictureHaus's much-hyped Portal fan film, Lab Ratt, has finally arrived.
Witness the story of Aperture Science employee prisoner Doug Ratmann as it was always meant to be seen: in kickass live action!

Casemodder Willsonman created a replica of Aperture Science's company-issued PCs, as seen in Portal, at the behest of his geeky wife.
Even the keyboard colors are pulled straight from the game.

From Synthetic Picturehaus -- the filmmakers behind last year's delightful mockumentary "Aperture: A Triumph of Science" -- comes a new Portal fan film: Aperture: Lab Ratt.
Lab Ratt tells the story of everyone's favorite wall-scrawling former Aperture Science employee, Doug Rattman, and will also feature Chell, GLaDOS and other familiar Portal characters.
Although it's only a (very impressive) trailer thus far, Synthetic is seeking funding to make Lab Ratt into a complete short film.
[thanks, melissa!]

We do what we must because we can, after all.
Her handheld steampunk portal device was assembled from an impressive collection of junk -- including antique clock parts, a metal teapot stand and a hair gel pot -- and finished off with Warhammer paints and "about 6 gallons of superglue."
Batman-n-Bananas must be the pride of [insert hometown here].
