Before they were Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers were Earth's Most Photogenic High Schoolers.
Well, except for Hawkeye, whose superpower used to be "Kickass Late-'80s Hairstyle."
Unsurprisingly, The Avengers was all the rage in U.S. box office totals, bringing in $200.3 million and kicking Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Pt.2 out of the way of having the biggest domestic debut of all time. Adding the international gross into the equation and Avengers has made a tidy sum at $623 million, OFFICIALLY making Joss Whedon Hollywood's new overlord.
At C2E2, Marvel announced a new Hawkeye solo series helmed by David Aja and Matt Fraction. This also includes a new redesign that's more in line with the movie version of the character. It's certainly a lot sleeker than the '90s redesign which included goggles and a bubble dome (all jokes on the latter).
