Settle down all nice and cozy with the latest Skyrim DLC, Hearthfire. If you were frustrated by the lack of Sims-style gameplay, you can now build houses, interior decorate, and manage a passel of adopted kiddies.

But please -- just because they won't eat their boiled leek and cabbage stew doesn't mean you have to shout at them.

Verbal abuse is pretty extreme in the land of Skyrim.

Originally restricted to attendees of last week's Gamescom event, the Dishonored gameplay demonstration is now in easily-sharable video form, and it's a real sight to behold.

Dishonored is the game you need to be looking out for this fall. Try to put it near the top of your pile.

Good news for Xbox 360 owners: Skyrim's Dawnguard expansion pack is now available for download on the marketplace for 1600 MS points. Hopefully all goes well, but Bethesda is notorious for buggy launches, so it might behoove you to proceed with caution.

For any anxious PC owners who have to wait, there's a bright side: The Mass Effect 3 Apology Extended Cut DLC is also available on Origin, free of charge.

Elder Scrolls Online Trailer of the Day

ZeniMax Online Studios has delivered a rather vague E3 teaser for their upcoming MMO, The Elder Scrolls Online.

No one was expecting gameplay footage from a game that was just announced, but this trailer is drawing criticism for being a bit generic and lacking the feel of Bethesda's insanely popular Elder Scrolls world.

It's hard to tell much from this trailer, but the finished product will hopefully be a little less WoW/Oblivion and a little more Skyrim.

Required viewing: Joystiq's Richard Mitchell (who has apparently seen a demo of the game), talks to lead gameplay designer Nick Konkle about ESO's visual and character design.

Thoughts?

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, some Redditors have spotted three massive banners for Bethesda's recently-announced MMO The Elder Scrolls Online being painted on the Figueroa Hotel, located near the site of next week's E3.

Feeling ok, Blizzard? You look a little pale.

Before being installed in its new home, the wall made the convention rounds, appearing at Bethesda's E3 and PAX booths.
