Following last week's news that Dollhouse star Enver Gjokaj would be making a cameo appearance in Joss Whedon's The Avengers, it's now confirmed that another Whedonverse star will have a small part in the superhero blockbuster.

Alexis Denisof -- best known as Wesley in Buffy and Angel (and as Mr. Alyson Hannigan in real life) -- is on the official cast list as "The Other." No word on how large the mysterious role is going to be.

Meanwhile, Gjokaj's part has also been listed: he plays a young agent, presumably with S.H.I.E.L.D.

Whedonverse, assemble!

Dick Clark passed away today at age 82 after suffering a heart attack, and his accomplishments in the entertainment field are too numerous to be summed up in a single memorial post, so we'll just leave Clark's cameo on the 1960s TV version of Batman here.

"Are you a vocal group?"

Big Bang Theory Stephen Hawking Cameo of the Day

The Big Bang Theory's good luck with guest stars just keeps coming. The show recently landed Leonard Nimoy, and now it's been announced that superstar physicist Stephen Hawking will make an appearance in an upcoming episode.

Hawking, 70, will reportedly have "a run-in" with Sheldon Cooper, who has a reputation for angering well-known scientists. He's previously annoyed astrophysicist George Smoot and theoretical physicist Brian Greene.

The Big Bang Theory has apparently sought after Hawking as a guest for some time, but the professor, who suffers from motor neurone disease, wasn't feeling well enough to appear until recently.

Executive Producer Bill Prady recently tweeted about a "super-secret, super-cool guest star for episode 521." If he was referring to Hawking, that means we can expect the physicist's cameo to air on Thursday, March 29th.

Stan Lee Video Game Appearance of the Day

Comics icon Stan Lee is well-known for making cameos in Marvel movies, and now it looks like he's going to be in a Marvel video game, too. Even better, he'll be a playable character. Excelsior!

At the London Super Comic Convention, Lee revealed that players will be able to control him in The Amazing Spider-Man, developed by Activision Blizzard subsidiary Beenox.

It's not yet clear whether you'll be able to play the whole game as Lee, or whether he'll just be available in some kind of DLC bonus mission. It's also not known whether Stan the Man will have the same powers as his creation, or have moves of his own.

The Amazing Spider-Man game is due out June 26th.

Big Bang Theory Spock Cameo of the Day

Several Star Trek stars, including Wil Wheaton, Brent Spiner and LeVar Burton, have appeared on The Big Bang Theory, and now it's Leonard Nimoy's turn.

Nimoy will reprise his role as Spock in an upcoming episode of the show, but only in Sheldon Cooper's dreams. Previously, the closest Sheldon has come to his Vulcan hero is owning a sample of Nimoy's saliva.

It's likely that Nimoy's appearances on Big Bang will be limited to dream sequences, though, because he's got a restraining order out against Sheldon. And, considering Sheldon's obsessive fanboyism, that seems like a highly logical move.

Nimoy's episode airs March 29th.
