It's Been A Long-Enough Time For Another Gotye Cover of the Day

While Gangnam Style rampantly horse-rides through the streets, Carly Rae Jepsen's phone is maybe getting fewer calls and Gotye can't even remember that person he used to know. It's time.

Oh, and this cover is done entirely with old-school computers, and it's freaking awesome.

An elegant, rock ballad tribute to Jurassic Park, fit for a Top Gun-style freeze frame ending.

Peter Dinklage scores a solo Rolling Stone cover for his award-winning work in Game of Thrones -- which only seems to be getting better this season -- confirming what GoT fans have known all along: Tyrion Lannister is a total rock star.

The issue hits stands on Friday, May 11.

Portal Theme Cover With Lasers of the Day

It may not be GLaDOS, but an Automated Laser Corporation 20-watt fiber laser playing Jonathan Coulton's Portal closing theme "Still Alive" by etching an Aperture logo onto a steel plate is still nothing to mess around with.

The creator of this experiment points out that laser markers aren't exactly made for making music, so parts of the song are out of key or out of time.

But on the other hand: lasers! That seems like more than a fair tradeoff to me.

Game of Thrones Theme Cover of the Day

One of the special features from the Game of Thrones Season 1 Blu-ray release is a vocal cover of the show's opening theme provided by Sophie Turner, Isaac Hempstead Wright and Maisie Williams.

You may know them as the actors who portray the three youngest Stark children, Sansa, Bran and Arya.

Their musical performance is cute, but it's the mid-song quips that really make it. Sansa is "actually a professional singer, I don't know if you noticed."

On the downside, seeing the familiar intro again is just a reminder that there are still three more long weeks until Game of Thrones returns to HBO. Just get here already, winter!
