The JuiceTank is a combination iPhone case and charger with a built-in electrical plug that eliminates the need to carry a charging cable.

Its two prongs lay flat on the back of the case, minimizing any extra bulk, and then pop out when needed using a spring-loaded mechanism.

Granted, a cable can be nice when you want to use your phone while you're charging it, but cables are easy to lose or forget. It's a lot easier to remember to bring your charger with you when it's attached to your phone.

The JuiceTank is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, and has raised $25,000 toward its $125,000 goal with 54 days to go. If it gets funded, the case will be released this summer and retail for around $70 (although backers can get one at a discount).

As bulky iPhone cases go, Connect Design's Mug case for the iPhone 4S is actually pretty practical. It allows the phone to stand up in landscape or portrait mode, and the handle doubles as a place to wind up your earbuds.

It's not exactly pocket-friendly, but it sure beats a case shaped like a human ear or a baby's hand.

Just don't reach for your coffee cup thinking it's your phone. That could end poorly.

SaGa Design's "Omniscient Siri" iPhone case was the winning entry in a design contest held by 3D printing company Shapeways, which asked designers to come up with a physical representation of Apple's voice-controlled personal assistant.

Siri seemed a lot less threatening when she was joking about hiding dead bodies. Now that she's popping out of an iPhone like some kind of alien Chestburster, I don't know if we can be friends anymore.
