Warner Bros. Japan has debuted a new full-length trailer for the live-action adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki's '90s manga and anime series Rurouni Kenshin.
Judging by the trailer, the movie follows the first story arc of the series, where Kenshin -- aka the legendary samurai assassin Hitokiri Battousai -- settles down in a quiet village, but is eventually forced to fight the evil Shishio, another assassin with plans to overthrow the Japanese government.
The film is scheduled for an August 25, 2012 release in Japan. Its creators have said they aim to release it internationally, but no plans have been officially announced.
