At one point, Doctor Who's Matt Smith expressed the desire to do a Peter Jackson-directed, New Zealand-shot episode of the show. It turns out that Jackson is a big DW fan, and would love to do it.
Well, now it's up to the producers to make it a reality, and they're prepared to do just that. Executive producer Caroline Skinner is fully on board, and ready to negotiate the hard part: paying Peter Jackson's salary.
Fingers crossed.
Will Team Doctor Who (Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, and Steven Moffat) beat Wil Wheaton and Chris Hardwick at bowling?
The answer might surprise you -- it certainly surprised them.
Possibly the greatest bowling feature since The Big Lebowski.

Matt Smith rocks the bowler across from Dame Diana Rigg in these Victorian set shots of Doctor Who series 7, episode 9.
Dame Diana is just one of several guest stars slated to appear in the new season, chiefly among them being David Warner (Titanic, Tron, and Freakazoid's The Lobe) and Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth in Game of Thrones).

Straight from the BBC, here's the first pic of a dapper Eleventh Doctor alongside his new companion, Jenna-Louise Coleman.
Here's the Beeb's caption:
We caught up with Matt Smith who told us, "It [filming on the new series] is going well. Jenna brings a really different energy to the show—one which I think is very interesting." Shooting is well-underway for the Doctor's latest adventures and the second read-through featuring Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new companion took place earlier this week at the BBC's Roath Lock Studios.
Is this stylish new outfit a permanent costume change for our beloved Doctor? Should it be?

Matt Smith only plays a time traveler on TV, right? Well, this vintage photo of the Eleventh Doctor hanging out with the Beatles begs to differ.
It's apparently not a 'shop -- more likely, it's a '60s Matt Smith lookalike convincing enough to make even Steven Moffat look twice -- but the photo totally makes sense.
I mean, meeting the Beatles is the first thing a lot of people would do with a TARDIS ... right after killing Hitler, of course.

The BBC has released a rootin-tootin' first trailer for series 7 of Doctor Who, featuring the Doctor and his companions in the Wild West.
The crew of the TARDIS faces down a cyborg with a huge gun arm, Amy does irresponsible things with firearms, and we get to see Matt Smith on a horse.
Looks like that cool Stetson is going to come in very handy this season.
