The Screen Junkies strike again with another Honest Movie Trailer, and this time the victim is Michael Bay's Battleship. I mean, Transformers.

Come for the gratuitous, pr0ntastic shots of Megan Fox, and stay for the weird racism and the bad guy who doesn't appear until almost two hours into the movie!

It's no big secret that Joss Whedon is a fan of Ridley Scott's Alien universe -- especially considering that he wrote Alien: Resurrection -- but Joss's Alien fandom also takes subtler forms. This easter egg from the pilot episode of Firefly, for example.

The logo at the top of the HUD interface for an anti-aircraft cannon that Mal fires during the famous Battle of Serenity Valley bears a striking resemblance to the insignia certain prominent corporation from the Alien series.

Fans have noted that the titular ship in Prometheus looks quite a bit like Serenity. Would it be too much to hope that the design is the result of mutual fan-love among sci-fi creators, rather than just a coincidence?

Director Duncan Jones' debut film, the 2009 sci-fi suspense flick Moon, starring Sam Rockwell, is currently streaming for free on YouTube, for some reason.

Moon is the story of an astronaut nearing the end of his three-year mining contract on the far side of the moon when the isolation finally starts to get to him, and things just get stranger from there.

The film rated a respectable 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it's a solid way to kill an hour and a half on YouTube.

The latest video promo for Prometheus, "Quiet Eye," focuses on Noomi Rapace's archaeologist character, Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, and introduces some unnerving Weyland Corp. polygraph tech that scans speakers during video calls.

This is Shaw's case -- presumably made to corporate visionary Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce) -- that she should be chosen to lead the Prometheus mission.

Prometheus lands in theaters June 8.

Marvel's Art of the Avengers book contains a massive timeline infographic that assembles the events in the Marvel movie universe thus far, from the invasion of Midgard by the frost giants to Bruce Banner departing for Calcutta post-Hulk. (Embiggen.)

The timeline is cleverly demarcated into BIM (Before Iron Man) and AIM (After Iron Man), establishing Tony Stark's coming out as a superhero as the official point of origin for the Avengers team.

Remember when Ashton Kutcher was cast to play Steve Jobs in the late Apple co-founder's biopic? Here's the Kutch sporting a black turtleneck and unfortunate facial hair, presumably to channel a much younger Jobs. The biopic remains untitled at the moment, but Dude, Where's My iPod is clearly a strong candidate.

The Tumbler Batmobile that appears in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is going on the road to wow people in time for the release of The Dark Knight Rises, thus giving Americans the chance to pretend that they're Batman without engaging in the cosplay culture. The Batpod will also join the tour, but no word on whether Anne Hathaway will sit in the flying car with fans.
