New concept art from The Happytime Murders, the upcoming puppet film noir directed by Jim Henson's son, Brian, has landed on the web, showing a much darker counterpart to the Muppets we're used to seeing.
According to the official synopsis, the film is set in a world where puppets are second class citizens, and it's up to puppet private eye Phil Phillips to figure out who's ripping the stuffing out of the cast members of an '80s puppet TV show called The Happytime Gang.
Muppets and murder? Sounds like a good combination.
The film doesn't yet have a release date, but it does have a script by Todd Berger, and Katherine Heigl is reportedly in talks to star.
