Pixar has just hired former Buffy writer Marti Noxon to scribe for an unspecified film project, further solidifying the studio's connection to the Whedonverse (Joss already gave Pixar a master class in screenwriting during his work on Toy Story, and Disney owns The Avengers).

Whatever Noxon works on, it's safe to say that quality will follow.

It played for audiences before Finding Nemo 3D, and it aired this week on the Disney channel, but now Pixar's Partysaurus Rex is online for your viewing pleasure. Sit back and enjoy -- it's six minutes of pure, uncut Toy Story goodness. It's also a bathtub rave.

As a genius marketing campaign for Monsters University, Pixar has gone and created an extensively elaborate website for the institute, down to a calendar of events, departments and required textbooks, school merchandise (for four-armed monsters), dining halls, maps and even more.

Best news ever -- rumors of another Toy Story have turned out to be partially true. Pixar has announced a series of TV specials featuring the whole gang, the first of which, Toy Story of Terror, will premiere in fall 2013:

What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story of Terror.

The second TV special is set for Easter 2014.

Meet Partysaurus Rex, the champion of bathtub nightlife.

This spot will play before Finding Nemo in 3D, which drops in September.
