The operators of The Pirate Bay believe Swedish authorities are getting ready to make a move against the site, telling TorrentFreak that investigators have obtained warrants, and that two known anti-piracy prosecutors are involved.

The investigation apparently ramped up after The Pirate Bay's recent switch from a .org domain to a Swedish .se domain.

"Since our recent move to a .SE domain the investigation has been cranked up a notch. We think that the investigation is interesting considering nothing that TPB does is illegal," said a Pirate Bay spokesman.

The Pirate Bay has learned its lesson from a previous raid in 2006, and the current operators are said to be taking measures to keep the site running in the event of a raid, including setting up backup domains and backup servers around the world.

Combined with the site's recent switch to magnet links, which means no .torrent files have to be hosted on Pirate Bay servers, these measures will likely make it difficult for a raid in Sweden to take the site offline.

"We're staying put where we are. We're going no-where," said a Pirate Bay operator, "But we have a message to Hollywood, the investigators and the prosecutors: LOL."
