HBO has announced it will begin selling life-size replicas of the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones.

Unlike the real Iron Throne, the replicas are made from fiberglass and resin instead of actual swords. But like the real Iron Throne, one of these won't be yours unless you've got plenty of money in reserve: they're selling for $30,000 a piece, plus $1,800 shipping.

Arcade gamer Le Chuck created this playable 1:6 scale version of Atari's Star Wars Arcade, running the classic game using MAME4All.

The foot-tall machine took 80-plus hours to build, and includes a handmade replica of the game's original controls, plus a handcrafted coin door and extended screen cable.

"Aunt Beru said there was no room on the moisture farm for another full size cabinet so I made one 1:6 scale," Le Chuck writes.

Talented video game prop builder Ryan Palser -- known for his homemade Portal turret (with lasers!) -- strikes again with a detailed replica of the Savage Boomers' Digger Launcher from Gears of War.

Pet Digger not included. Which is good, because I hear those things tend to explode.

Check out more photos of the project on Palser's Flickr account.

NECA Toys shows off the light and sound capabilities of the official replica Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device in a new video that shows off the gun's very accurate details. They left out the "actually making portals" part, but it's spot-on otherwise.

Preorders for the portal gun have sold out, but the company plans to make more of the $139.99 toys available to eager Test Subjects soon.
