By now you've probably heard of Robert Downey Jr.'s surprise entrance to the Iron Man 3 panel, but seeing is truly believing.
Just imagine it's Tony at Stark Expo 2012. Iron Man is real, people.

Robert Downey Jr. returned to action for Iron Man 3 last week, and now the first official set photo from the film has arrived, courtesy of Marvel Studios.
It's not a great look at Tony Stark, but we do get to see a whole lot of Iron Man suits. Will Iron Man 3 reveal the Mark VIII "new red and gold" suit?
Meanwhile, you may be interested to know that actor James Badge Dale has been cast as both cyborg mercenary Eric Savin and The Iron Patriot, causing a bit of a continuity fracture in the Marvel U.
In Marvel's comics universe, the Iron Patriot is Spider-Man nemesis Norman Osborn, but the rights to various Spider-Man characters remain with Sony Pictures. That means Marvel Studios had to pick a new identity for the character, and it seems they've chosen Savin (aka Coldblood-7) for the role.
What does this have to do with Warren Ellis' Extremis storyline, upon which Iron Man 3 is reportedly based? Absolutely nothing!

Big damn geek hero Nathan Fillion gets one-upped by Robert Downey Jr. in a Whedonverse crossover promo spot for Fillion's Castle and The Avengers.
Some say it's just an ad that knows its audience, while others think it heralds the arrival of Fillion as Ant-Man.
Well, we can dream, can't we?
