Microsoft's next Xbox might be a stripped-down version of the current system, according to Microsoft blogger MS Nerd.

In a Reddit post, MS Nerd -- who doesn't work at Microsoft, but may have inside sources -- claims the new Xbox will be based on an ARM processor, and will play "Arcade-style" games, run media apps, and work with the Kinect.

He speculates it will be released in late 2013 and cost about as much an Apple TV ($99). A "true successor to the 360" will follow "at some point after that," and Kinect will get updates to both its camera and processor by 2015.

Although rumors are rampant, Microsoft has been very quiet about its next Xbox console, and recently announced it won't be unveiling the system at this year's E3.

Last week, producer Michael Bay revealed that the Turtles in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film may not be mutants, and now a new rumor suggests that they may not even be teenagers.

Sources have told Bleeding Cool that the new live-action Turtles flick may simply be titled Ninja Turtles, but they didn't provide a reason for the rumored change, so it's not clear what age the new Turtles will be.

It's possible that the title change may not have any bearing on the plot -- one source said it was just a marketing decision, comparable to Disney's dropping of the "Princess" and "of Mars" in John Carter.

And besides, it wouldn't make much sense to keep "teenage" in the title if they're going to drop the "mutant."

With less than a week to go until the unveiling of the iPad 3, Apple employees have apparently been browsing the web with their personal iPads 3, which caused some interesting details about the new tablet to turn up in website server logs.

Ars Technica's Jacqui Cheng reports that some visitors to the site have been using devices with a screen resolution of 2048x1536, which happens to be the exact resolution rumored for the iPad 3's retina display.

Even more intriguing, some of those users are apparently running iOS 6, a future version of Apple's mobile operating system.

While it seems unlikely that iOS 6 will ship on the new iPad, Apple could certainly preview the future of the OS at its March 7th event.
