Game of Thrones News of the Day

The bad news: After Sunday's climactic, George R.R. Martin-written episode of Game of Thrones, featuring the Battle of the Blackwater, Thrones fans only have one more season 2 episode to look forward to.

The good news: The season 2 finale, "Valar Morghulis," has been extended by 10 minutes to fit in all the necessary action, giving it a total running time of 64 minutes.

Game of Thrones will return for season 3 -- which should cover the first half of A Storm of Swords -- next April. Looks like it's going to be a long winter.

Community Goes 8-Bit of the Day

Freshly-renewed sitcom Community is no stranger to creative novelty episodes -- remember the claymation and anime sequences? -- and this week's episode is no exception. Tomorrow night, the study group goes 8-bit (more like 16-bit, really, but let's leave the nitpicking to Abed).

In the season finale, the Greendale crew adopts retro video game avatars to help rich old guy Pierce keep his family fortune by defeating a corporate villain (Breaking Bad's Giancarlo "Gus Fring" Esposito).

Community's multi-part season finale kicks off Thursday night at 8 p.m., and continues at 9 and 9:30.

Six seasons, a movie, and a video game!
