For those of you who disliked the super-CGI style of Thor 1 might be in luck. The first batch of set photos are out for Thor 2: The Dark World, taken by a fan in Bourne Woods, UK.

Director Alan Taylor must be bringing his Game of Thrones expertise into the design aesthetic, merging real locations seamlessly with fantasy architecture.

We won't know for sure until we see more, but it seems like a smart move, especially now that Thor and Loki are well-established in the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As if the appearance of the Iron Patriot didn't complicate things enough, new photos from the set of Iron Man 3 seem to indicate that Marvel Studios is further breaking from the Marvel U's comic book canon.

The big reveal here is a sign bearing the logo of Advanced Idea Mechanics, the high-tech corporation/terrorist organization closely associated with Captain America baddies Hydra, and responsible for developments like the huge-headed terror known as MODOK.

How will AIM play into rumors that Iron Man 3 is based on Warren Ellis' Extremis storyline, and what does it have to do with the Iron Patriot?

Robert Downey Jr. returned to action for Iron Man 3 last week, and now the first official set photo from the film has arrived, courtesy of Marvel Studios.

It's not a great look at Tony Stark, but we do get to see a whole lot of Iron Man suits. Will Iron Man 3 reveal the Mark VIII "new red and gold" suit?

Meanwhile, you may be interested to know that actor James Badge Dale has been cast as both cyborg mercenary Eric Savin and The Iron Patriot, causing a bit of a continuity fracture in the Marvel U.

In Marvel's comics universe, the Iron Patriot is Spider-Man nemesis Norman Osborn, but the rights to various Spider-Man characters remain with Sony Pictures. That means Marvel Studios had to pick a new identity for the character, and it seems they've chosen Savin (aka Coldblood-7) for the role.

What does this have to do with Warren Ellis' Extremis storyline, upon which Iron Man 3 is reportedly based? Absolutely nothing!

Shooting has wrapped on J.J. Abrams' Star Trek sequel, and it looks like the director's makeshift wall was effective at stopping more set photos from leaking out.

One little tidbit did slip by, though, courtesy of That's Sweet Dessert Truck. It seems that Zachary "Spock" Quinto and Alice Eve stopped by the truck for a snack while still in costume, and posed for a quick photo.

We still don't know who Eve is playing, but with her pants and belt buckle matching Quinto's in the photo, it seems likely she's part of Starfleet. She also appears to be playing a human character, although (as Blastr points out) she could also be one of Khan's genetically-engineered "Augments."

River Song returns in the latest set pics from series 7 of Doctor Who, and she's bringing plenty of spoilers with her.

Reports from on set say that River returns in episode five, which showrunner Stephen Moffatt has already pegged as the last episode for beloved companions Amy Pond and Rory Williams.

A handful of new Star Trek 2 set pics have emerged from behind J.J. Abrams' on-set wall, giving us a better look at Spock's "volcano suit," which was revealed earlier this week.

On closer inspection, we can see that the outer layer of the suit is made up of individual panels, designed to resist the heat of whatever's eventually going to show up on that green screen.

Star Trek 2 is due in theaters May 17, 2013.

Two new photos from the set of Ender's Game have hit the web, courtesy of the movie's official production blog.

The new images show Ender's Monitor implant and his bedroom back on Earth -- which looks, appropriately, like any future kid's room.

The producers had this to say about the Monitor:

Implanted tracking and monitoring chips are no longer a science fiction concept. They exist now. And one day, they may be as advanced as the monitor implanted into Ender, which allows Colonel Graff to "see through his eyes" and know: HE'S THE ONE.

And Ender's Game news blog Ender's Ansible has dissected the bedroom photo item by item, including links to places to buy most of Ender's cool stuff.

Ender's Game is due out November 1, 2013.
