Sharp has teamed with Japanese mobile provider NTT Docomo to put together a special Neon Genesis Evangelion edition of its SH-06D Android smartphone.

Sure, it has a 4.5" screen and a 1.2 GHz processor, and it runs Android 2.3, but that's not the part you really care about. The real selling points are an Evangelion-inspired OS skin and the Nerv insignia and mecha styling on the back of the handset.

The Nerv SH-06D is an updated version of a special edition SH-06A that Sharp produced a few years ago to promote the release of Evangelion 2.0. Unfortunately for U.S. fans, it seems to be a Japan-only exclusive.
