Valve has posted a new job listing for a hardware developer, fueling renewed speculation that the company might be developing its own game console.
"Join our highly motivated team that's doing hardware design, prototyping, testing, and production across a wide range of platforms. We're not talking about me-too mice and gamepads here – help us invent whole new gaming experiences," the job posting reads.
Valve has denied that it has a console in development, but it has filed patents for a controller that features swappable components and responds to biometric feedback, like a gamer's body temperature and heart rate.
Although it's not confirmed, that controller (and possibly an accompanying bio-tracking bracelet) could be the "new gaming experience" they're talking about.
