Clever ad designer John Koay of Saatchi & Saatchi slapped some Bat-Signal stickers onto the ground lighting on the streets of Auckland, NZ, creating a string of real-life Bat-Signals.

The bat-vertising campaign was a promotion for the TV premiere of Batman Begins in New Zealand.

Batman Parody Musical of the Day

A couple of months ago, the geniuses behind the Harry Potter parody "A Very Potter Musical" announced they were beginning work on a Batman rock opera entitled "Holy Musical, B@man!"

This is act 1, part 1 of that rock opera, and it is every bit as awesome as expected.

Here's the official synopsis:

It's time for crime-fighting shenanigans with everyone's second favorite superhero (right after Spider-Man). After witnessing the murder of his parents, a young billionaire makes a solemn vow to dress up like a bat and wage a one-man war on the rouges of Gotham. So get ready to see the Dark Knight the way you always dreamed of... singing and dancing!

How does a bat become a man? Why does he have such a strong sense of justice? Does he want fruit, or blood? These, and other questions you never asked, are answered in "Holy Musical, B@man!"

Sure, they've been plenty of mega-million-dollar movies lately, but here's how you know Marvel's superheroes have really hit the bigtime: they're getting their own exhibit at the New York branch of Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

The Hulk, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor will all appear in a "Marvel Superheroes 3D interactive experience" that will let fans get up close and personal with the ultra-releastic wax figures, and even take a crack at swinging (a presumably non-wax) Mjolnir.

From the first photo, it looks like even Madame Tussauds has trouble getting the Hulk right. Needs more Ruffalo!

The exhibit opens April 26.

J.K. Simmons - aka Spider-Man's J. Jonah Jameson -- trains a bunch of Avengers wannabes in a new spot for Farmers Insurance.

Simmons previously appeared in another superpowered Farmers commercial tied to the release of X-Men: First Class.

If anything, DC's animated series have all been pretty consistent and enjoyable. Super Best Friends Forever has gotten quite a bit of internet love and this extended clip shows why the adventures of Batgirl, Donna Troy, and Supergirl should please fans of all ages.
