The mighty 90-year-old Stan Lee won't go down without a fight. He recently received surgery for the installation of a miniature arc reactor pacemaker, but The Man issued this statement to ease his supporters:

Attention, Troops! This is a dispatch sent from your beloved Generalissimo, directly from the center of Hollywood's combat zone! Now hear this! Your leader hath not deserted thee! In an effort to be more like my fellow Avenger, Tony Stark, I have had an electronic pace-maker placed near my heart to insure that I'll be able to lead thee for another 90 years. But fear thee not, my valiant warriors. I am in constant touch with our commanders in the field and victory shall soon be ours. Now I must end this dispatch and join my troops, for an army without a leader is like a day without a cameo!

Future generations will always be in good hands while Sesame Street is around. In an Entertainment Weekly exclusive, Grover and Cookie Monster bash Twilight, then proceed to do a musical tribute to Doctor Who, The Hunger Games, The Avengers, and Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom?

Guess what? It's time to give more money to The Avengers.

Starting this Friday, and spanning through the Labor Day weekend until September 6, U.S. theaters are getting a re-release of Joss Whedon's block-busting superhit.

With looming DVD/Blu-ray release on September 25 and no major competition from other box office releases, it's a prime time to go out with a bang, and it sure looks better on a big screen.
