Michael Emerson, better known as the nefarious Ben Linus from Lost, has been selected to play none other than The Joker in DC's animated adaptation, The Dark Knight Returns: Part Two.

This is fantastic news, considering the fact that Joker voice-veteran Mark Hamill is no longer doing the role. Emerson is a wildly talented actor, and rounds out an already stellar lineup of performers tackling Frank Miller's celebrated classic.

Part One arrives on DVD September 25 (the same day as The Avengers), and the glorious conclusion is slated for early 2013.
