Walking Dead Season 3 Preview of the Day

The cast and crew of AMC's The Walking Dead look ahead to season 3, where "people start losing their minds, love blossoms, and a whole lot of gross zombie kills."

Oh, and an increasingly desperate group of survivors encounters big baddie The Governor. Sounds like "things are going to get messy" is a bit of an understatement.

The Walking Dead returns this fall.

The first clip from the CW's Arrow -- which has just been picked up for the network's fall lineup -- features an out-of-costume Ollie Queen (Stephen Amell) getting into fighting shape and showing off his impressive archery skills, as well as revealing the show's official logo.

It looks like Arrow is going to go the voiceover narration route to reveal Ollie's inner thoughts -- in this clip, we learn that the Green Arrow's debut mission involves foiling an abduction.

Arrow also stars Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance/Black Canary, Colin Donnell as Tommy Merlyn, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, and Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen.

It's a Christmas mid-May miracle! Adult Swim has responded to the massive fan campaign for the return of beloved anime programming block Toonami, scheduling a relaunch for later this month.

The return of Toonami started as an April Fool's joke, but an outpouring of fan love and a Twitter campaign convinced the network to make it real.

I'd like to think it was Richie Branson's Toonami rap that sealed the deal.

Toonami returns May 26. No word yet on the exact lineup of shows, but Toonami host T.O.M. will be back in all his CGI glory.

Hot on the heels of the first promo image from CBS' Sherlock Holmes show, Elementary, the network has now released a behind-the-scenes video with a few minutes of footage from the show.

The clips mostly focus on the relationship between the analytical, not-so-sensitive Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and his more emotionally-aware counterpart, Lucy Liu's Dr. Joan Watson.

Oh, and we get a good look at Sherlock Holmes' heavily-tattooed(!) torso.

What do you think? Potential winner, pale imitation of the BBC's version, or somewhere in between?

Community Goes 8-Bit of the Day

Freshly-renewed sitcom Community is no stranger to creative novelty episodes -- remember the claymation and anime sequences? -- and this week's episode is no exception. Tomorrow night, the study group goes 8-bit (more like 16-bit, really, but let's leave the nitpicking to Abed).

In the season finale, the Greendale crew adopts retro video game avatars to help rich old guy Pierce keep his family fortune by defeating a corporate villain (Breaking Bad's Giancarlo "Gus Fring" Esposito).

Community's multi-part season finale kicks off Thursday night at 8 p.m., and continues at 9 and 9:30.

Six seasons, a movie, and a video game!

Doctor Who doesn't return until this fall, but showrunner Steven Moffat keeps leaking fascinating semi-spoilers about the show and its characters.

Last week, he explained why the Doctor's companions tend to be of the young, pretty female persuasion, and this week he's shedding some light on River Song's sexual preferences. To wit: River is bisexual.

When fans on Twitter asked Moffat what the Doctor would think about gay marriage, Moffat replied, "You'd have to explain gay to him first. Then straight! Then why you were still talking when there's ALL THESE SPACESHIPS!!"

When a Whovian pointed out that the Doctor might have an idea about gay and straight after being with River and meeting Captain Jack Harkness, Moffat responded that both those characters "are happily bi," and that the Doctor "comes from a world where such narrow views seem so ridiculous they're hard to remember."

It's not clear whether River's romantic tastes will play a role in the upcoming season, but it's also good to know that Moffat has given these things some thought as he continues to flesh out Doctor Who's characters.

Toonami Rap of the Day

Nerd rapper Richie Branson joins the movement to bring back Cartoon Network's Toonami anime block -- aka #BringToonamiBack -- with a hot track reminiscing about his days catching his favorite 'toons after school.

Whether his rhymes get through to the suits at the network remains to be seen.
