Last we checked on the Batkid, a young boy whose Make a Wish Foundation gave him a day to clean up the streets of San Fran as the Dark Knight, he was in training for his big day (undoubtedly brushing up on his martial arts and polishing some batarangs). As of today, he's saved a damsel in distress, put the Riddler behind bars, and will soon be receiving a key to the city from the mayor himself. Check out more live updates here!

After losing a friend's cell phone while out on a weekend ride in the countryside, designer Kimchi Ho thought that was the end of that. Two of the men suffered injuries from the impact, but the little girl managed to escape with just a minor wound on her face.

Over the course of the past school year, five-year-old Sophia Moss read through nearly the entire kindergarten and first-grade sections of her school's library. According to the local news report, her father Carl helped her check out five books a week this fall, which eventually grew to more than 20 books per week. In addition to her passion for reading, Sophia has already begun writing her first book, a story about a superhero turtle titled "Sophia's Pet."

Back in April, at the request of his 87-year-old grandfather, Redditor stevieboy1984 turned to the /r/PicRequests subreddit to see if anyone could clean up a scanned JPEG image file of his grandfather's World War II-era photo taken during his service in the Navy as a submarine sonar/radar operator. After a number of people offered their photoshop wizardries to help its restoration, stevieboy1984 showed his grandfather six variations before handing him a framed version of top commenter unhi's submission. Here's a video of the big reveal. Grab a box a tissues, manly tears are coming.
