Spirit Airlines’ marketing department is run by teenage boys.

A recent promo on their website has gotten some people all hot and bothered with its blatant sexual innuendoes.

The ad, which expired on March 17, was for $69 round trip flights to celebrate the addition of its 69th plane.

From the promo:

We’ve been waiting to hit 69 planes for years. It’s our favorite number – ever since we were twelve and found that magazine under our brother’s bed (the one with the fantastic articles). #69 is perfect: just the right size, with a cockpit that’s in your face (because it’s bright yellow). Use your mouth to spread the word: Spirit is in an even better position to get you where you’re going. We’re popping an epic Bare Fare in celebration! $69.00* round trip!

And yes it’s very real.

“The goal with our marketing is to provide information about our low fares to our customers, in a unconventional manner, without the ads costing so much that we need to increase fares to cover those costs,” the company told Fox 9 in a statement.

Their “bare fare” policy is to charge less for a ticket, but not included typical perks that other airlines have like free beverages or carry-on bags. As a result of all the hidden fees, Spirit has become the most complained about airline in the U.S.

As the Huffington Post points out, the airline also launched – and were subsequently ridiculed for –a promotion last year that tied into the celebrity nude photo scandal.

Waiting a long time for a plane to take off can suck, but it’s a lot more bearable if you have a flight attendant that can move like this woman.

According to the uploader, she is a breakdancer-turned-flight attendant, and she recently gave these passengers a bit of a show while waiting for everyone to board.

Watch her dance to Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” and win over everyone on the plane.

Being stuck on a plane is not fun, but having a barbershop quartet on board can definitely help.

A US Airways flight from Indianapolis to New Orleans was delayed due to maintenance issues last month and everyone got grumpy, as one does in that situation.

But a flight attendant named Kari Mann discovered that four of the passengers were part of a singing group called Port City Sound.

She asked them to sing for everyone and posted a video of the moment on YouTube.

“The mood changed and our passengers were awesome for the whole five hours they were on the plane,” she said. “One of my favorite moments!”

The video of their rendition of “Under the Boardwalk” has since racked up over 3 million views.

“We never thought that four guys singing on an airplane would generate so much interest,” said Port city Sound member Jim Simpson.

In the most recent terrifying news from the sky, a door fell off Bono's private plane Wednesday. The U2 frontman was traveling from Dublin to Berlin for the Bambi Awards, where his band was being honored and was scheduled to perform.

The door was on the rear of the plane where the luggage is kept, and no one knows how it happened.

"There can be many reasons for this incident. Either something broke on the door or the door wasn't closed properly. Those are the usual problems that occur," an official with the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation said.

Most likely, however the pilot blew the door off in frustration, after he couldn't figure out how to remove U2's "Songs of Innocence" from his iTunes library.

This is the stuff of nightmares, especially if you're already scared of flying.

An Air Canada flight was forced to make a crash landing on Thursday, when one of its tires burst soon after take-off from Calgary.

But as the plane went down, the landing gear collapsed, and its propeller broke off, slicing into the plane and hitting passenger Christina Kurylo in the head.

Fortunately, no one died, and there were only minor injuries.

"I'm really lucky. It could have been a million times worse," said Christina Kurylo. "I could have died, you know, you never know what could have happened."

Kurylo was one of 5 employees from an Alberta-based radio station that were all on board when the incident occurred. And they seem to be taking it all in stride.
