An idiot spectator thought it would be fun to jump into the 2015 Giro d’Italia bike race on Sunday, and he ended up causing a huge pile-up.

In the clip, the camera shows a man riding from the sidewalk into the street, but then it pans away right as the collision takes place. What we see is the aftermath, which was later confirmed as his fault by riders who were affected by the debacle.

“If I get hold of the d*ckhead that had the brilliant idea of diving into the peloton on a fixed bike with 10km to go, causing us to crash…” tweeted Eugenio Alafaci from Trek Factory Racing.

He also complained about the collision on his Facebook page.

At least one rider quit following the crash, and others suffered minor injuries, according to Nine MSN.

We’ve seen a number of other bizarre crashes over the past few months in European races.

At Belgium’s Tour of Flanders, two competitors were knocked down by support cars, and a spectator appeared to stick his arm out knocking down a racer at the Molecaten Drentse 8 in the Netherlands.

Do you live in Portland, Oregon, and did you recently discover some unusual tire tracks on your orange Lamborghini?

If the answer to both of these questions is “yes,” you might want to have a chat with Josh Navarro.

The BMX biker and self-described “explorer” posted a video on his Instagram account (ajourneythroughtime) this weekend, in which he rides his bike over a stranger’s car outside Jake’s Famous Crawfish.

He has hashtagged a photo of the stunt as #ThugLife, and on the video he wrote #RideEverything.

Last year he posted a video of him appearing to ride around on giant slices of pizza, which you can watch below.

So he literally does attempt to ride everything after all.

No word on whether not he had permission, but the waiter sure seems to think it’s real with that shrug of his.

And he’s got a lot of angry comments on his account.

“Don’t think this is going to end well for you,” said one person.

Another has threatened to alert the owner of the car.

Cyclist Silas Patlove was riding towards Sausalito in California last week, when a deer jumped over the guardrail knocking him to the ground.

The entire thing was captured on video through his onboard Fly6 camera, which he uploaded to YouTube.

He says he suffered only minor injuries thanks to his helmet.

"Although I had a mild concussion with a bit of memory loss around the event, I am very grateful to have escaped feeling only a little banged up," he wrote. "I cannot speak to the deer's injuries."

The Netherlands has just unveiled its second coolest bike path, a glow-in-the-dark stretch of road that displays illuminated patterns based on Vincent van Gogh's famous painting "Starry Night."

The kilometer-long path, designed by Daan Roosegaarde in association with his "Smart Highways" project, runs through the province of Noord Brabant, where Van Gogh grew up.

It consists of thousands of stones covered in special paint which charge during the day and light up at night.

As a backup - in case the path doesn't get enough of a charge during the day - there are additional LED lights along the side that are charged by an accompanying solar panel.
"I wanted to create a place that people will experience in a special way, the technical combined with experience, that's what techno-poetry means to me," said Roosegaarde.

Earlier this week another path was opened up for use by SolaRoad, which contains built-in solar panels to generate electricity.
