An earlier post from last week misidentified the photograph as having been taken in Gaza and thereby implied that the boy is Palestinian. The photograph was actually taken in the West Bank city of Hebron by photojournalist Ziv Koren of an Israeli boy dressed up as a bunny during the Jewish holiday of Purim in 2003.

Original description: "A young Jewish settler dressed as a rabbit for the Purim costume festival hides near a security barrier in the West Bank city of Hebron. May 2003. Biblical Hebron is home to a few hundreds hard-core settlers whose enclave, surrounded by hostile Palestinians, is guarded by the Israeli army."
