Heartwarming Tearjerker of the Day: Alice, an 8-week-old deaf springer spaniel, was abandoned by her owner -- a breeder -- due to her handicap, and subsequently recovered by a local animal rescue centre in Ireland. The staff handed the puppy over to Marie Williams and Mark Morgan, a deaf couple from West Mersea, Essex, who have been able to teach Alice sign language commands.
