Improv Everywhere's latest mission -- Olympic-themed, natch -- went down like this:

Over 4,000 people participated in an epic water gun battle as part of our ninth annual Mp3 Experiment event. Participants downloaded an MP3 file and pressed play simultaneously on Governors Island in New York City. The MP3 file contained a series of ridiculous Olympic-themed instructions from narrator "Steve The Omnipotent Voice from Above" that culminated in a massive water gun fight.

In case you missed it, Improv Everywhere takes the award for best April Fool's Day prank with a terrific video allegedly starring eight sets of identical quadruplets. In a Monday morning message to viewers, they admitted that "the likelihood of us being able to assemble eight sets in New York via our mailing list was pretty preposterous." Nonetheless, well played, as usual.

For their third collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum (previously, and), Improv Everywhere agents (why yes -- that is Pat Cassels) transform a New York City subway car into a "sleeper car," complete with beds, complimentary pajamas and sleep masks, and a courtesy wake up nudge at the stop of your choice.
