There's a new Santa in town, and this guy prefers to sit in your lap.

Yes, it seems Buddy the Elf's been promoted. Will Ferrel showed up at Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night looking like the unaborted lovechild of a Backstreet Boy and Mrs. Clause. Ferrel went on to drag out a fratastic dialogue, all the while clad in an all too revealing Christmas-themed cutoff that'd impress the likes of fashion titan Mugatu.

So make sure to be good this year, because we don't even want to know what happens to the dudes on the naughty list.

Case Claused.

Earlier today, Vanity Fair tweeted out a promotion for their big story on what's so good about current late night programming.

You may notice it's a real sausage fest in there.

To be fair, Vanity Fair did mention the lack of gender diversity in their story:

What's conspicuously missing from late-night, still, is women. How gobsmackingly insane is it that no TV network has had the common sense—and that's all we're talking about in 2015, not courage, bravery, or even decency—to hand over the reins of an existing late-night comedy program to a female person?

And they did mention comedienne Samantha Bee's upcoming TBS late night talk show. She, however, decided to respond directly to the tweet, imagining herself in the picture with the rest of her peers.

And then followed up with the kicker:

Really, a Samantha Bee centaur shooting lasers out of her eyes says it all.

Well, the weekend happened. The first one after Labor Day.

Did it feel more like fall? Did you spend it watching football? Enjoying the last bit of summer?

However you laid back this weekend, you probably missed some of the best stuff that went down, Internet-side. That's where we come in.

Here's some of what happened over the last few days.

In their continuing effort to education America on the history of hip hop, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake performed their sixth lecture/performance Sept. 9.

They turned the Tonight Show stage into a regular adult education center as they ran through a large gamut of new and old music, backed by the fantastic sounds of The Roots.

And it's a hit! They land an eclectic and wildly entertaining bunch of songs. The thing never unravels, though it was close when Fallon reveals his Compton beginnings.

It's a continuation on a long-running series the two have performed beginning back when Fallon hosted Late Night. Unfortunately, NBC doesn't want anyone seeing those other lessons and has removed the videos from YouTube.

However, Spin has chronicled all the songs featured in the previous installments.

President Obama knows that Donald Trump is probably stressing out over the Aug. 5 first Republican primary debate, so he decided to offer some advice.

Jimmy Fallon's Donald Trump impression might be as weak as his ring finger, but the jokes that spring from this little interaction stand on their own. Plus, half the fun of watching a Jimmy Fallon impression is seeing how far away he can get from the real thing.

This phone preparation covers a great many topics between the sitting president and the man who led the birther cause.

They joked on Chris Christie, Trump got his own Cecil the lion trophy and the whole thing ended with an autotuned duet of OMI's Cheerleader.

Trump's probably had a busy enough week, what with answering all those phone calls after his cell number went public.

That surely won't stop the fireworks from blowing up in tomorrow's debate as the top 10 polled contenders for the Republican party nomination spar for a chance to say anything slightly meaningful in the most presidential way possible.
