The world's first known liliger -- half lion, half liger -- was recently born at a Siberian zoo. Mom is the liger, dad is the lion, and the cub is 100% adorable.

Interspecies Intermingling of the Day: A dog at the Xixiakou Wildlife Zoo in Weihai, China, nurses a pair of Liger cubs (the result of a male lion mating with a female tiger).

According to the BBC, "The mother stopped feeding the cubs after a few days so the dog, which had recently had its own puppies, was enlisted to help."
