Nickelodeon is bringing Legends of the Hidden Temple back! But not in the way you might expect. Instead of a tiny American Gladiators game show, it will be a movie. According the Variety, it will still include all your favorite elements from the show:

In “Hidden Temple, three siblings must conquer a series of obstacles to remain alive, mirroring the theme of the original game show. The TV movie, slated to appear in the fourth quarter of 2016, will nod to other elements from the original show, including Olmec, a talking head who knows the secrets behind the temple; the Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and cameos from a green monkey, red jaguar and silver snakes, among others.

Hopefully they will still have to assemble the Silver Monkey to make it out alive. Sure, it looks easy, but the suspense is real.

Stephen King confirmed the casting of a movie based on the 'Dark Tower' book series on Twitter:

If you're wondering who's who, Idris Elba offers a pretty obvious clue:

So it seems like Idris Elba will be 'the gunslinger'. That leaves McConaughey as the 'man in black'.

The casting of Idris Elba as 'the gunslinger', also named Roland Deschain, has brought some controversy. As with any movie that casts a traditionally white character as someone of any other race, there was some backlash. There are also fans who were concerned about the change affecting Deschain's relationship with a major character in the story. Well, the producer of the movie and apparent badass, Akiva Goldsman, spoke to IGN to assuage everyone's worries:

I understand that people who are thoughtful about the storytelling and the racial politics of the storytelling might want to understand how that informs that storytelling, and I respect that and I hear that, and those things are not things we didn't think about or don't think about. The racist a--holes should go f--k themselves.

For anyone who somehow still isn't convinced that Idris Elba is the right man for the job, it's worth noting that Stephen King himself is also totally cool with it:

With any luck, 'The Dark Tower' is set to release January 27, 2017.

Making a Murderer is the chronicling of a real life murder case.  Like the popular podcast Serial before it, the Netflix show examines the investigation, the trial and the various failings within the US legal system. Ultimately viewers are waiting on the edge of their seats to find out the answer to the real question: Did he do it?

Based on the many articles and posts either declaring the accused and convicted Steven Avery's innocence or shedding light on some key evidence the 10 episode documentary tends to gloss over, it's clear that we just don't know.  According to the Mirror, a second season has just been confirmed. Hopefully, this time it will be able to provide some closure.

Meanwhile, a sports betting site is guessing that a movie based on Making a Murderer will be out by 2020 and they're giving odds on who will play Steven Avery.

Fargo actor Billy Bob Thornton shares favouritism for the role with Danny McBride, of Eastbound & Down, at 9/2.

Here's hoping we get to see Danny McBride as Steven Avery team up with James Franco as Brendan Dassey in a comedy of errors that leads to their eventual imprisonment.

In the opening ceremony of the 2016 US Synchronized Skating Championships, ice skaters Dean Copely and Tim McKernan dressed up as Chazz Michael Michaels and Jimmy MacElroy, two characters from the movie "Blades of Glory". They performed a version of the film's 'Fire and Ice' routine.

You can watch the routine from a better angle in this video from the network taping the routine:

And just for comparison, here's the routine from the 2007 movie, 'Blades of Glory':

'Idiocracy' is everyone's favorite movie about a dystopian future in which everyone has become really, really stupid. The movie's writer, Etan Cohen, seems disappointed in how close he seems to have hit the mark.

'Idiocracy' is a cultural touchstone that everyone likes to use to point to how ridiculous modern life has become. Even Terry Crews (AKA President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho) used the premise to poke fun at the current election cycle.

Future President Camacho is right guys, can't we all just crack open a Brawndo and chill?

The official Walking Dead Twitter account started by creating The Walking Dead versions of Oscar nominated films. Then other people caught on and it spiraled out of control like a mysterious pathogen that causes people to become reanimated corpses when they die.

The Tumblr blog Don't Call Me Oscar is run by photographer Maggie Storino. These adorable recreations of the Best Picture nominees are not just cute, they can tell the future. Storino told Mashable, "A little known fact about 'Don't Call Me Oscar' is that it's a good predictor of the Oscar winner; since we've been on Tumblr, the photo with the most notes has won Best Picture 3 out of 4 years."
