The New England Patriots played all day as if they were wearing ankle weights against the New York Jets, but still managed to push the game past regulation into overtime with a late and shining moment of clutch city from Tom Brady. Let's just say things went downhill fast soon as OT started.

In an act of madness the Patriots chose to kickoff, after winning the coin flip for overtime.

Whoops?

Unsurprisingly it took the Jets a mere five plays to drive down the field for a six-yard TD pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to Eric Decker for the win.

Ahead of their match up against the New England Patriots, the Buffalo Bills are trying to deflate the other teams confidence.

The Bills' team store has begun stocking up on air pumps, an obvious nod to the Deflategate scandal. Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady was originally suspended for the first four games of the season as punishment for his alleged involvement in deflating footballs, but a judge threw out the suspension Sept. 3 because he claimed Brady suffered from a lack of fair due process.

None of that is stopping the Bills from having their fun.

Come on you guys, you're going to make Tom Brady's face sad and melty again.

Whoever handles the Patriots' social media is probably not having a very fun Friday at work - assuming they are still employed.

To celebrate their 1 millionth follower on Thursday, the Patriots asked people to retweet an image of a digital jersey to receive a customized version with their Twitter handle on the back.

The account then tweeted out a thank you to an account with an extremely racist username, complete with an accompanying jersey emblazoned with the slur.

They have since deleted the offensive tweet and apologized for the "filtering" error.

Brandon Spikes and the New England Patriots had a less-than-civil end to their partnership earlier this offseason. After the Buffalo Bills signed Spikes to a one-year contract, Spikes added fuel to the growing fire by guaranteeing not one but two beatdowns courtesy of the Bills this upcoming season.

He would have been fine if he had just left it at that. But no, Spikes had to tweet this to top it all off:
Protip for Brandon Spikes: if you get paid millions of dollars to play a game and hit people for a living, and you liken it to slavery, you're probably gonna come off as an idiot.
