During last night's 2013 Billboard Music Awards, R&B singer Miguel attempted to soar over a crowd of fans to the other side of the stage while performing the song "Adorn," but unfortunately ended up kicking a fan right in the head on his way down. The 27-year-old singer, who finished his act before reuniting with her in the backstage after the show, later told reporters that the fan managed to avoid any serious injury (thankfully), but the incident has already inspired quite a few image macros and clever photoshopped images.

After Sun Sports reporter Kelly Nash took an Instagram of herself during a Red Sox batting practice, she later discovered that a flying ball had narrowly avoided hitting her in the skull. On an interesting side note, Nash later credited a DVD copy of the film Angels in the Outfield she had been carrying with her for saving the day.

A Texas high school student has been suspended for writing the word "YOLO" on the essay portion of an exam, then tweeting a photo of the page to school officials. The high school junior defended his actions by noting that the test would have no impact on his G.P.A and would not be screened by universities. However, the Arlington school district felt it was no laughing matter and have disciplined the student with a four-day on-campus suspension.
