My friend just went to pet cats at our local animal shelter, and found her cat that had been missing for over a year.

Behold tears of pure happiness and joy!

(Update: Kitty obviously is thrilled to be home.)

The Pet Fit Club, a TV show in the U.K., is back for another season to help 18 lucky (unlucky?) pets and their owners battle the bulge. The lucky (unlucky?) participants comprise 11 dogs, 5 cats and 2 rabbits, and the biggest loser's owner wins a year's supply of pet food and a pet-friendly stay at a Four Seasons. This is one British show that would do even better stateside -- more than half of adult dogs and cats in the U.S. are overweight or obese.
