proposal

When Michael John Kent proposed to his girlfriend in Reykjavik, Iceland they probably thought they had the street all to themselves. They discovered later that a bystander had captured the perfect photo of the proposal just at the right time. When he didn't hear back from her after giving out the wrong email the search was on and he took to the internet to find this mystery photographer.

Much to the couple's delight, they found her thanks to the powers of social media.

The woman who took the photo, Jessica Bowe, had already posted it to her Instagram. Later the happy couple went back to Iceland to meet their photographer and thank her for the image. They even did a quick interview with a local news outlet in the video above.

For most people, couple's Monopoly probably wouldn't be the start of a long and happy life. But for these crazy kids, it just might work out.

Describing him and his now fiancé as home bodies, Justin Lebon crafted the perfect way to propose to Michal Ott, as he described to Buzzfeed:

First, he called his friend Mark Becker, an Etsy woodcraftsman, and ordered a custom Monopoly board.

Lebon crafted distinctive property names and cards relative to their life together thus far.

Supes cute.

Then, using loaded, he ensured that Ott's first roll would be a seven, landing on Chance and receiving this card.

The Luxury Tax space on the board was actually also home to a trap door with a ring underneath.

She said yes, obvs.

We only hope that they didn't continue to play the game, which would have lasted for four hours, each more tiring and frustrating than the last.

But provided they resisted temptation to play, congratulations to the happy couple.

Romance isn't dead, but it sure does kill.

Alec Wells, of the Boys and Ghouls podcast, knew his girlfriend Katherine Canipe's favorite movie is Halloween. You know, the John Carpenter 1978 classic horror movie, featuring Michael Myers that pretty much began the heavily-sequeled serial killer movies.

Well, when it came time for him to put a ring on it, Wells decided to do it up as only the slasher flick could do. So he took Canipe out to Pasadena, where Carpenter filmed the movie and surprised her twice. Once with an engagement ring and once with an appearance from the dreaded masked killer.

Check it out here:

Oh, and just in case you didn't know they loved movies, their engagement photo looks mighty similar to Back to the Future.

One guy from Connecticut has taken the “promposal” to new heights, literally.

High school students across the country have been coming up with creative ways of asking their dates to prom.

We’ve seen a guy stupidly pretend to be a suicide bomber and one kid who made a girl cry after she made fun of his elaborate road signs.

Eddie Staten wanted to do something extreme as well, and so he decided to express his love for his girlfriend by leaping out of a plane.

In the video, Staten holds up a sign that just reads “Talia, Prom?” It’s short, sweet and to the point, but apparently that was not enough.

The rest of the clip shows him skydiving with an instructor from a company called Skydive Danielson, who encourages his girlfriend to go with him.

“I hope she says yes,” Staten says while falling.

She did, according to NBC.
