Daniel Fleetwood, the terminal cancer patient who charmed the Internet and ultimately had his wish come true of seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens early, has died. He was 32.

The Star Wars superfan was treated to an advance screening of the new film last Thursday after an Internet campaign brought global attention to his situation.

He was dying and his final wish was to see this movie.

His wish was granted, but in a bittersweet turn—Fleetwood died Tuesday in his sleep at home.

Star Wars actors (like Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew and John Boyega) and others associated with the film sent their well wishes to his family and remembered him for the amazing fan that he was.

Daniel has now become one with The Force.

This is what you call commitment to a cause.

A Texas man who doctor's say should have already died is hanging on as long as he can just to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Daniel Fleetwood, 32, suffers from a connective tissue cancer. His doctor's gave him two months to live back in July, but he is fighting to make it at least to the Dec. 18 release of the film.

"Judging by how progressive the disease has gotten in the past two months, I really don't think that I'll be able to make it," he told KPRC.

The hashtag #ForceForDaniel has been started to encourage the franchise to set up a special screening for Fleetwood ahead of the worldwide premiere.

Star Wars stars Mark Hamill and John Boyega have both been retweeting messages in support of the campaign.

The full trailer for Star Wars VII dropped yesterday and tickets went on sale—enough news to make any Star Wars fanboy giddy with excitement.

But then the trolls decided to come out and play...

Using the hashtag #BoycottStarWarsVII, a handful of accounts complained about the black lead character. This new movie advocates white genocide, they said.

Classic trolls!

Thanks to the Disney Accelerator Program, some lucky kids are getting the chance to make their dreams come true.

UK-based company Open Bionics is developing these super awesome prosthetic limbs for kids based on Iron Man, Star Wars, and Frozen.

"They won't have to do boring physical therapy, they'll train to become heroes. They're not just getting medical devices, they're getting bionic hands inspired by their favorite characters," the company said in a statement.

Disney has provided consultation on the project and royalty-free licensing.

Working with Lucasfilm's ILMxLAB and Disney creative teams, the 3D-printed arms are based on on Iron Man's gauntlet, a lightsaber and Queen Elsa's hand.

Kanye West brought his usual flair for drama and surprise to this year's fall New York Fashion Week.

He announced on Monday that he would hold a previously unscheduled showing of his next line, Yeezy Season 2, on Sept. 16.

And now that the Internet has seen that it's beige instead of black, people are beginning to find resemblances.

Imgur user raggedrabbit collected a few examples of just how many f*cks Mark Hamill gives when signing autographs.

Luke Skywalker obviously has a pretty big sense of humor when it comes to his fans.

And it's not like anyone would be upset by these imaginative signatures, right? Surely it would only increase the worth many times over.
