Garth Callaghan is 44 years old and has been diagnosed with cancer three times since November 2011. Prostate cancer once. Kidney cancer twice. Although he appears healthy today, statistics say he has an 8% chance of living past 5 years.

Since his daughter, Emma, has been in the second grade, he has written her a napkin note for each lunch he's packed. It may be a quote or a simple word of encouragement but it is a time when the two can connect.

Garth may die, but he will not let Emma eat lunch without a napkin note. His promise to her is to write one napkin note for every day of class Emma has until she graduates from high school.

If you can get past the fact that this is a clip from The X Factor, and that Britney Spears is in it, and that it's 11 minutes long, press play.

On Wednesday night's show, 19-year-old contestant Jillian Jensen was so overcome with pain from a lifetime of being bullied that she barely made it through her audition -- and her triumph brought the audience and the judges to tears.

No joke -- Simon Freaking Cowell was in tears.

Just a very cool moment.

When Liam lost his beloved stuffed monkey, Ah-ah, on a family trip three years ago, he was devastated.

But his mom never gave up looking for Ah-ah, and boy and monkey finally were reunited this week.

Their lost and found story is one for the ages.

Sidenote: Hypervocal spoke to the boy's dad, who says Liam isn't too happy about all the press. "We'd like to turn all this positive attention into something good," he says, and asks that you donate to MyCharityWater.org if you're as touched by the story as we are.
