Sometimes when you mistype a url, you’re taken to a fake website which tries to make you think your computer is infected with a virus or otherwise malfunctioning. There’s usually contact information to help get this problem resolved.

YouTube Prankster Jack Vale decided to give one of the numbers a call to see who was behind the online scam.

Vale pretends to be an elderly couple who has difficulty understanding the woman on the other end of the phone, and he has a little fun with her before she catches on to the prank.

“Are you in Safari right now?” she asks.

“That was a few years ago,” he replies. “We went to Africa for that, but I’m at home now.”

She tries to convince him to let some IT technician remotely log in to his computer for 6-8 hours to fix the problem, and all for just $399!

Vale encouraged his viewers to bombard the scammers with calls, but the number was disconnected 2 hours after his prank.

It appears they have found other services to troll now instead, at least according to the comments.

It’s encouraging to know that years of hard work as an actor or filmmaker could one day get you a free orange Gatorade.

New Media Rockstars decided to see how people would react to someone carrying a (fake) Oscar around the streets of L.A.

It seemed to work out pretty well for the guy. He ended up getting free movie tickets, food, drinks and was pretty much allowed to go and do whatever he wanted.

“You got an Oscar, thats your ID,” said a bouncer when he tried to get into an exclusive party.

Watch and cringe as everyone tries to take pictures with him and his award despite not knowing who he is or what he “won” it for.

Some people even claim they saw his speech.

Liam Neeson apparently took his role of Bryan Mills in "Taken" very seriously.

On Conan, co-star Maggie Grace says Neeson is very protective of her in real life as well, and he went so far as to prank call her ex-boyfriend in character.

"You've made two mistakes. Your first mistake was dating out of your league," he said. "Your second mistake — well, let's just say any more mistakes and I'll break your other arm. Slowly."

Best fake dad ever.

All these years we've been listening to his crazy cover songs, and only now are we discovering that Weird Al Yankovic is actually a wizard.

Here he is performing a floating orb trick, which – once you see how it's done – is not really as magical as it seems.

Those of us stateside may not be privy to the news that Scotland is set to vote on a national referendum to become an independent country from the United Kingdom (the UK currently consists of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland). Since they are officially a single country, no checkpoints currently exist between the two territories. However, an intrepid group of pranksters set out to give the public a taste of what the future might hold in the form of a mini border checkpoint complete with a booth, car barriers, and cones. Cones! That's how you know they mean business.
