Oh gawd.

Paramount is getting ready to reboot Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer with a "21st century makeover" that reimagines the mischievous duo as adults, and sprinkles in some "supernatural elements" for good measure.

The mashup spec scripts was penned by Andy Burg and carries the working title Huck. Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) are teaming up with Matt Lopez (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) to produce.

To paraphrase Twain, everything Hollywood is pathetic.
