By popular demand, Stolidus Simulations has released Robot Vacuum Simulator 2013, the world's only simulation game that puts the player in the shoes of an automated vacuum cleaner. This sequel title to last year's Robot Vacuum Simulator 2012 now puts you in first-person control of the robot in a 3D landscape, where you must maneuver its sleek round body through a messy apartment to the background tune of smooth jazz. The only way this game could get better is if there was a DJ Roomba patch.

Los Angeles Police Department officers found themselves in a rather awkward situation at the Robotoki video game developer studio after an employee accidentally hit their security system's "armed threat" panic button. The office just happened to have a life-sized statue of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 character Simon "Ghost" Riley on display by the entrance, armed with a menacing-looking mock assault rifle. When police arrived on the scene and noticed the gun-wielding figure, they immediately stormed the building in a tense 15-minute standoff. After realizing the effigy was not a threat, the police reportedly left the building while laughing at the absurd incident.

American novelty fragrance company Epic Scents has announced a plan to collaborate with SEGA for a line of "air care products" inspired by the Japanese video game company's legendary franchises. Although it remains unclear what exactly prompted this partnership, Epic Scents' curious venture into the gaming community seems to have been boosted by the positive reception of its Epic-Scents Mega Man™ product line unveiled at New York Comic Con last October. We can only hope the SEGA lineup, which will go on sale next month, will include Eau De Gotta Go Fast.

Yesterday, Anita Sarkeesian unveiled the second episode of her Tropes Vs. Women in Video Games series, which analyzes a variety of tropes that are perceived as sexist in video games. And as it was the case with the premiere of the pilot episode, the feminist author's second vlog post was immediately challenged by her detractors who managed to temporarily take down the video by abusing the "flag as inappropriate" button before it was restored shortly thereafter.
