Blogger Shannon McCarney created a tribute video to a cancer patient simply named "Amanda" whose series of tweets documents her life's struggle leading up to the end. While McCarney has good intentions in creating and publicizing the video, she still respects the ultimate wishes of Amanda's family, who she has yet to track down. Her hope that with this video, she'll inspire others to grow their appreciation for the time we all have here before it all ends.
I debated whether to make this video and debated more whether to post it. It's not my story to tell, and I don't know if Amanda would have wanted it told this way. But ultimately, I've chosen to publish it as a tribute to her, and a reminder to all of us: sometime, we will leave it behind.
