Aaron Purmort discovered he had a terminal brain tumor soon after he met his wife, Nora McInerny. Since the diagnosis, they have been sharing details of their struggle with the world through their blog myhusbandstumor.com.

And before he died, the couple decided to co-write his humorous and touching obituary, which was published over the weekend in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Purmort, Aaron Joseph age 35, died peacefully at home on November 25 after complications from a radioactive spider bite that led to years of crime-fighting and a years long battle with a nefarious criminal named Cancer, who has plagued our society for far too long.

"I've never laughed and cried more in one sitting, but I'm so glad we got to do this," Nora wrote on the blog.

The end of the obit also states that he is survived by his "first wife Gwen Stefani," which Nora tweeted about following his death.

The family set up a crowdfunding page to raise money for medical costs and to help support his wife and child.

Mike Wilson, a professional parkour and freerunning athlete, wanted to do something special for his 5-year old son Jayden, who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor.

So on his birthday this year, he made a replica Spider-Man suit and jumped down from the roof to pay him a visit, capturing the moment with a hidden GoPro camera.

You can read more updates about Jayden on his Facebook page.

Last we checked on the Batkid, a young boy whose Make a Wish Foundation gave him a day to clean up the streets of San Fran as the Dark Knight, he was in training for his big day (undoubtedly brushing up on his martial arts and polishing some batarangs). As of today, he's saved a damsel in distress, put the Riddler behind bars, and will soon be receiving a key to the city from the mayor himself. Check out more live updates here!

UPDATE: Watch the ABC News coverage of crowds of people cheering on Miles as he comes to the rescue as Batboy!

A window washing crew from American National Skyline surprised patients (and their families) at Memphis' Le Bonheur Children's Hospital on Wednesday by dressing up as Marvel superheroes. High fives all around to the crew, whose job is already tough enough, even without the masks.
