Bobby Brown, who was recently arrested under suspicion of a DUI, insists that he is only guilty of talking on his cell phone while driving.

"Everyone is innocent until proven guilty and Mr. Brown was not driving erratically," his lawyer Tiffany Feder told E! News. "He was speaking on his cellphone. Mr. Brown has not been convicted of anything associated with this incident."

Earlier this week, he was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol for talking on his phone when officers noticed signs of intoxication.

The "My Prerogative" singer failed a field sobriety test and was booked at the Van Nuys County Jail.

"Mr. Brown is taking this matter seriously and an investigation is underway," said Feder. "The legal process shall run its course."

The former New Edition member has been in the news since last month, when his ex-wife Whitney Houston died in her Beverly Hills hotel room.

Brown was arrested and booked at the Van Nuys County Jail. TMZ reports that he was bailed out around 2:30 this afternoon.

In 1996, the former New Edition member was convicted of a DUI in Georgia.

Brown's arrest comes just weeks after his ex-wife Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room.

Bobbi Kristina Brown and her sort-of adopted brother Nick Gordon have revealed on Twitter that they are officially an item.

While Brown may refer to Gordon as her "big brudder," Gordon is a close family friend, and is not related to the late Whitney Houston in any way.

The insider described Brown's new boyfriend as laid back, smart, and very supportive. Gordon was allegedly the "man" of the house since Brown's father, Bobby Brown, was never present.

"I've proved my loyalty to her and the Houston family," he wrote. "I don't owe any of you anything. Ha I don't even know y'all haters….Some ppl have no lives so they gotta be in ours."
